This 2001 trunk lid exterior is not perfect, but it is VERY good for the era. Years ago it had a trunk-rack on it, which was removed when the owner saw another lid cracked because of the rack. The holes were proper plugged. The paint is deep, clean, very few mars at all, and you certainly won't see any in the pictures. It was mistreated by forcing the lid down over something that was not properly inside the trunk, and two latch-posts were cracked, and another cracked from an improper placement of an oversized screw. Unavailable for about 5 years at Honda, this is far to nice to discard, so the cracks on the drop-latches were repaired. They were NOT trimmed up, to retain the strenght of the repair, so are ugly, effective, and hidden when assembled. There is one liner-retainer post missing, in the front upper corner by the passenger backrest (see pic inset). As there is another post with 2 inches, this is solely to retain the inner liner and is inconsequential. The repaired posts are guaranteed to be stronger than stock Honda. With the liner in, these repairs are unnoticable, and this becomes an excellent quality lid although the attached stock properly OEM red-trimmed HONDA emblem shows wear. This is huge to ship, so the price is reduced to reflect that fact.
