This is one excellent master cylinder for the front brake on all GL1800 models. I drove this into the yard after a 3500 miles trip around the deep south and back to Vancouver: with no 5th gear the last 3k miloes. Regardless, it has been disassembled, cleaned, checked throughout, reassembled. The dust boot needs to be replaced, dried with age. The remainder is good in and fair out. The cap included used to gave a acrbo-fiber laminate, it has been stripped off, and is there to keep things together, use it or throw it. This is a pop 'n drop assembly: place it, flush it, bleed it, ride it.
