If this unit didn't have a small (3/4", visible from one angle only) light scratch from a diamond ring in the glass it would be a museum piece. As it is, it's good for any collector GL1500 in town, for sure. One runner (right) has little scuff-lines that can be easily buffed out with plastic polish (Novus#3), by hand or machine. One headlight bulb low beam was bad: I popped a new OEM ($38)bulb into it. Both runners are bulbed and good. Harness is excellent, all over. Rear case, mounting tabs: not a problem. In short, this is one excellent specimen of headlight for the 88 thru '97. (there are 5 part numbers that cross reference to thi: all starting 33101-MN5- : 013, then -023, -033, -043,-053.) If you want a restored beauty, this will help. Please note: after having working with probably 200 of these old ladies, and viewed another 400-500: you will have a hard time finding something like this even on a nice bike, let alone as used. Not available at Honda for years now.
